I spent my happy day with my mother and
grandmother last Sunday at Government House
(which continues to be accessible to the public by means of an Open Day, instituted in 1968. The ever-popular Open Day gives the public an opportunity to view the blossoming azaleas in the garden and admire the ambience of the dignified building, with its unique blend of Eastern and Western design.).
Be honest, I just wanted to spend my time
on my family but not the flowers or the house. I don’t have any interest in those
things. And I really hadn’t admired the architecture seriously. For me, it was
just a place to take photos with my mum and grandma. They are well deserved.
